Impact and responsibility
What whole countries do or refrain from doing may have the greatest
physical and/or biological impact on nature but we must think further than
that, because we are after the destructive impact on nature and the
responsibility or co-responsibility of individual persons and groups
of persons, however large, as in the case of entire countries, or small, as
in the case of individual men and women.
From this point of view it is the responsibility of one single person or,
in the case of two-sex procreation, one single male-female couple, which is
the most concrete type of responsibility.
(Keep in mind that in the present context it is only biological
children we are talking about, not 'children' in a purely social or legal
sense.)
Every responsibility of larger groups will only be more abstract and
diluted on the level of single individuals and couples.
On that level it will be no more than some form of co-responsibility, if
recognized at all.
If we want to expose the exponents of explodism in order to make them think
and to prevent them from continuing on their destructive road and in order
to make others think and to prevent them from taking the same road, we must
be as concrete as possible.

Criminal or immoral towards other
beings
When we confine ourselves to live-born children, and to claims which are
not disputed or highly improbable, something like 42 may be the maximum
number of biological children ever parented by one human couple.
But that couple lived about three hundred years ago, at a time that global
overpopulation was not an issue, if only because there was no question
of global environmental degradation yet.
This illustrates that it makes no sense to list and order the exponents of
explodism solely on the basis of their exact number of children.
Even among people who live in this day and age not everyone with the same
number of more than three children can be held equally accountable for the
destruction of nature caused by human overpopulation.
Moreover, naming and shaming itself is no fun either, however necessary
and efficient it may be.
Especially this last point is a good reason to base a list of individual
world explodists also on the degree to which their public ideas and
actions are criminal —'illegal' if recognized as such— and/or
immoral towards nature and human society.
